Why use The Clinic?
You probably don't have sufficient current knowledge of the agency market. The Clinic meets and speaks with agencies daily.
You may never have conducted a review before. The Clinic has managed dozens so we know what to do – and what not to.
If you have managed a review before you will know how time consuming it is. The Clinic allows you to concentrate on your day job.
You may not be up to speed with current remuneration practice and costs. We are.
Our process
- 1. Define 'Ideal' agency profile
- Done in discussion with you and your team.
- 2. Develop candidate set
- Based on a review of our market mapping and first-hand knowledge of agency services.
- 3. Agree 'long' list
- Review consideration set with you and agree list of around six agencies from whom to seek credentials in confidence.
- 4. Review credentials
- Determine which agencies you should meet.
- 5. Agree 'short' list
- Agree approximately three agencies to pitch.
- 6. Determine pitch methodology
- We fit the method to your circumstances. There are several ways to select the right agency. Credentials only, strategic analysis, creative pitch, workshop. We have used them all.
- 7. Pitch management
- We have managed reviews for clients with less than $1million and clients with over $40 million marketing communications budgets.
- 8. Agency selection
- We can separate fact from fiction and help you make the right choice.
- 9. Scope of work
- We can help you determine the scope of work on which the new agency will propose its resourcing structure.
- 10. Remuneration
- We have considerable experience of negotiating performance based remuneration and fees and establishing terms of business (see following section).
"Colin's knowledge of the advertising industry, advice on process, handling of key meetings and issues, and above all his approachable and consultative personal style, added incredible value to the pitch.
His approach made the pitch both stretching and enjoyable, and has given us strong confidence that Dairy Farmers has made the right choice in agency partners."
